THE GREEN EXPO – International Exhibition and Conference for Environment and Renewable Energy

Düsseldorf, 21.01.2020 (PresseBox) – The 28th edition of THE GREEN EXPO will take place at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City from September 8th – 10th, 2020. It is the only international trade show for environmental technologies, waste management and recycling, sustainability, renewable energies and green cities in Mexico. THE GREEN EXPO offers a wide range of ecological solutions for the entire Latin American region. The organizers expect more than 200 exhibitors and 13.000 professional visitors. Once again the German pavilion is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, which will be managed by the Messe Leipzig.
The liberalization of the energy sector through the energy reform and the climate change law is the prime mover for the increased roll-out of bio-energy. The government sets ambitious aims in the conversion to renewable energy sources. Until 2024 35 % should come from non-fossil sources, in 2050 already 50 %.
One of the constantly strong growing supplier of energy is biomass, especially organic residuales from farming and industrial waste materials. From cactuses to slaughterhouse waste up to landfills, the biogas potential in Mexico is enormous. Thereby the demand for machines, equipment and know how will rise in near future. European companies can benefit from this, because there are just few experienced providers and specialists in Mexico.
Parallel to THE GREEN EXPO the trade shows Aquatech and Intersolar are taking place at the World Trade Center. The total attendance 2019 was amounting to 17.206 trade visitors including 500 conference attendees. 90% of the attendees came from the private sector, 70 % national and 20 % international. 10 % of the attendees were delegates and representatives from the federal government, states and local authorities.
THE GREEN EXPO with accompanying environment congress Cogenera brings together experts and specialists to exchange knowledge and ideas as well as to present technologies and solutions, which are urgently needed in Mexico.
