ICP Deutschland launches the high-performance EPIC embedded board NANO-ULT5 with Intel® Whiskey Lake processors. The refresh of the 8th Gen. Intel Core I processors are manufactured in the mature 14 nanometer technology. Higher turbo boost clock rates offer a performance gain compared to the predecessor.
The NANO-ULT5 board is offered in one variation with Celeron®, Intel Core i3, i5 and i7. Up to 32Gb DDR4 RAM in Dual Channel Mode are supported. Furthermore a display port and an HDMI port with a max. resolution of 3840×2160 as well as an LVDS port with a max. resolution of 1920×1200 are available. Further performance increases result from the four USB3.1 ports of the second generation with a max. transfer rate of 10GBits/s. In addition to the two Intel GbE interfaces, two USB2.0, two RS-232, one RS-422/485 and eight digital IO are available.
The NANO-ULT5 offers two SATA-6G and M.2 2280 interfaces with M key as connections for storage media. For expansion with optional add-on cards, an M.2 2230 with A key and a Mini PCIe slot with SIM card holder have also been integrated. With the optional TPM 2.0 module, the system can be given the necessary security.
The proven heat spreader cooling concept offers system integrators a simple way to realize passive cooled systems.
