PEMUX-XEW1 – Slot CPU card with XEON® W processor

Reutlingen, 30.04.2019 (PresseBox) – The new PEMUX-XEW1 slot CPU card from ICP Germany is suitable for high-performance computers that are to accommodate several graphics or FPGA plug-in cards. The PEMUX Slot CPU card with its 56 PCI-Express lanes and the corresponding backplanes offers various possibilities to build high-performance systems.
The PEMUX-XEW1 is a 12-layer slot CPU card and defines a new standard among slot CPU cards. It is equipped with an LGA 2066 socket that supports Intel® Xeon W processors with up to 28 cores. The four DDR4-RAM slots can accommodate a maximum of 256 GB ECC RDIMM or LRDIMM memory modules. Furthermore, the PEMUX offers eight SATA 6GB/s ports for the use of all common storage media. An M.2 2280 slot with a PCI Express x4 signal extends the possibility of equipping the system with solid state storage discs.
Data security is not neglected either. In addition to the RAID 0/1/5/10 functionality, the PEMUX card offers a TPM2.0 port and an internal USB DOM header for the use of dongles.
Both, an Intel® I210-AT GbE Ethernet port and an Aquantia 10 GbE Ethernet port ensure fast communication with the network. As further standard interfaces, the PEMUX card offers six first gen. USB3.1 with 5Gb/s, two USB 2.0, two RS-232 ports and audio. Remote access and VGA display connection can easily be realized via the IPMI slot and the corresponding optional iRIS module.
The system is completed by the use of a PEMUX-DB backplane. Two 14 slot backplane versions with six PCI Express x4 slots each are available, whereby version 1 is equipped with two PCIe x16 slots and version 2 with four PCIe x8 slots. All PCI Express slots correspond to version 3.0 and thus offer sufficient bandwidth for data transfer over the bus systems.
ICP also assembles the PEMUX as a ready-to-use system according to customer-specific requirements.
